The Lincoln Volunteer Center hosts "Make a Difference Day", a national day of doing good, on the fourth Saturday in October.

The City hosts a Fourth of July celebration and Frontier Days in September.

The City, Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce and the Foothill Farmers Market host a downtown farmer's market on Thursday evenings for 8 weeks during the summer. Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce can provide a complete listing of chamber members and additional funding opportunities.

The Lincoln Volunteer Center coordinates Lincoln community volunteer programs.

Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) is headquartered in Auburn, the county seat of Placer County. The water agency encompasses the entire 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east.

Memorial Hall, located in downtown Lincoln, is used by many community organizations, groups and individuals. Portions of the Hall may be rented on a space-available basis.

The city of Lincoln is one of Northern California's best kept secrets, retaining it's small town atmosphere with broad tree lined streets and a downtown square called Beerman's Plaza.

Lincoln Transportation

The Lincoln Airport is one of the finest small airports in Northern California with a 6,000 foot runway and is equipped with an Instrumental Landing System. It supports corporate and general aviation and is capable of complete fixed wing and helicopter repair, maintenance, and ground support. Additionally, 1280 acres of commercial development adjacent to the Lincoln Airport is a "free trade zone" which has enhanced and continues to attract businesses in the area.

Lincoln Culture

Two of Lincoln's most popular events are held each year in May.

Lincoln Arts presents Clayfest (a one-day festival) which celebrates the city's heritage. Lincoln Arts, a not-for-profit public arts organization, was founded in October, 1986, to support and promote the arts, culture and history in the greater Lincoln area.

Feats of Clay is a renowned national art competition where artists from across the nation converge on the streets of downtown Lincoln to display their works of art and provide craft demonstrations. Featured during the festival is Camp Clay, an interactive experience where children can paint, sculpt, mold and pound on fresh Lincoln clay. Also, during the festival and for the weeks surrounding it, the Gladding McBean clay factory offers tours through its facilities.

The Lincoln Lion's Club sponsors a community Easter Egg Hunt at Easter time. The Holy Ghost Festival and Picnic, a week-long celebration, is also held in May and celebrates Lincoln's Portuguese heritage. Another traditional event in Lincoln is the Fourth of July Parade, Celebration and Fireworks.

Western Placer Unified School District

Western Placer Unified School District is located in southern Placer County, 20 miles east of the state capitol of Sacramento. It is situated in one of the fastest growing areas in Northern California. WPUSD is projected to grow from its current student enrollment of 2,800 to a population of over 9,000 in the next 10 years. In addition to our public school enrollment we service an additional 2,800 students in our Horizons Instructional Systems program, a charter school providing instructional support to home schooled families and students.
